The Empire of the Rose
Live-action RPG, 4 hours, Greg's System (The Unknown)
For
centuries, the Denzari empire has known its neighbor far to south by
only a small delegation of wealthy merchants plying their trades in
spices and fabrics unheard of in the northlands. But recently, rumors
of war from the south have had some in Denzar worried, others anxiously
awaiting another potential conquest.
But war suddenly seems far
off when a princess from the south is promised in marriage to a Baron
of Denzar in exchange for strong trade agreements and peace. With not
all factions on either side in favor of a such a deal, the wedding
becomes a meeting ground of politicians from both empires - and will
decide the fate of two empires. . .and one young princess.
Th goal is for Empire
of the Rose to be the beginning of another three year LARP series from
Blackshield Gaming, following up the original Harn LARP series from
2005-2007. Pre-generated characters are available, players will be
allowed to keep their character from year to year (if desired).
To reserve a character, please e-mail me (greg@blackshieldgaming.com) and I will return a confirmation of your character. I will not assign out over half the characters (as per Miscon pre-registration policy) and I will work with Miscon to make sure your spot is reserved.
Costuming
The Arwon Empire is a cross between Middle Eastern and Asian dress. Anything in those areas will be more then adequate, although both the Order of Zerun and the Church of Va tend to wear black. The serpent is the symbol of Va for anyone looking for bonus points. Hairstyles in women is important and generally have significance, so outlandish hairstyles can mean whatever you want.
Denzari is medieval europe, with hints of England and Italy. The empire's symbol is the Dragon, and is also the crest of the royal household. The magicians wear red robes, the Corminn church is white and blue.
