Registered members of Black Shield Gaming choose a one word descriptor which describes themselves. It is important to be descriptive and brief, which gives it more impact. It must be a real word and a noun. And it can't be capitalized.
Examples include: stone, lace, dream, death, greed, joy, despair, anger, hope, darkness, leaf and demon.
But why? Registered users will become part of Black Shield Gaming. BSG has the long term goal of creating and expanding the gaming community in Montana, so if you live and game in Montana - we would like to have you as part of our community.
Montana residents will get notifications of events that BSG is running or involved in throughout the state. In the future, we hope to have other plans to bring the gaming community together, plans that are right now just brewing and bubbling in the back of our insidious minds.
You don't have to be from Montana to register, of course. In our modern age, the gaming community is less seperated by distance and its always good to get to know another gamer.

"Captain Energy Goes Bad"
Captain Energy, the atomically created
super hero of San Christa Bay has suddenly switched to the side of evil,
collecting minions and wrecking havoc on the city. With their one true hero now
working for the side of evil, who will step up and save the city from
destruction?
This 2 hour adventure will be run at the Miscon Game Day in Missoula on March 13th.
Marvel Universe RPG, 3-5 players, no system experience
necessary.

Lord of the Dead
Episode 1: The Prisoner
The first part of a
trilogy of adventures set in the world of Three Suns. The Gauntlet, a mercenary
group specializing in "abnormal" tasks, has found themselves in the hire of the
church to escort a "prisoner" to a remote abbey deep in the southern mountains.
With the pay being good, they set off on the journey that will eventually change
the fate of all who walk under the three suns.
Epic RPG, 6 players.
Pre-constructed characters available, players may also make their own with GM
approval. Players interested in making their own characters can contact Greg at

The Empire of the Rose
Live-action RPG, 4 hours, Greg's System (The Unknown)
For centuries, the Denzari empire has known its neighbor far to south by only a small delegation of wealthy merchants plying their trades in spices and fabrics unheard of in the northlands. But recently, rumors of war from the south have had some in Denzar worried, others anxiously awaiting another potential conquest.
But war suddenly seems far off when a princess from the south is promised in marriage to a Baron of Denzar in exchange for strong trade agreements and peace. With not all factions on either side in favor of a such a deal, the wedding becomes a meeting ground of politicians from both empires - and will decide the fate of two empires. . .and one young princess.
Empire of the Rose is the beginning of another three year LARP series from Blackshield Gaming, following up the original Harn LARP series from 2005-2007. Pre-generated characters will be available, players will be allowed to keep their character from year to year (if desired).
Characters will be posted and available around the turn of the year.

Miscon 2010
Two hour Live-Action Game
Seven main players, as many more as want to play.
Elaina Sortina arrived in the Empire of Denzar teaching the ways of Rae, the God of the Sun, the ways of nobility, virtue and honor. She challenged all she met to find something greater inside themselves on the path of light.
The Corminn Church, God of the Sky, and official religion of the Denzari empire was not happy with this turn of events, even less happy that some would turn away from their large churches and ponderous ceremonies to listen to such a prophet. They arrested for being a heretic and sent her to be beheaded.
But the son of the Emperor had other thoughts - having listened and fallen in love with Elaina, he begged his father to pardon her. In an unpopular move, the Emperor declared that there must be a trial to determine Elaina's fate, appointing three judges, including the Archbishop of the Corminn church and appointing his son to defend Elaina.
Now the fate of a lady, a religion, and perhaps an Empire fall upon three judges and one day.
